All the articles, book chapters, reviews, and so on listed below are relatively old writings. My newest work--on Diane Arbus, Sylvia Plath, and the prototypical scene--can be found in the book I edited for Oxford University Press, Handbook of Psychobiography. What I'm working on presently is a full-length psychobiography of the photographer Diane Arbus, which expands on and adds to my chapter on Arbus in the Handbook. I've also just finished an essay on Jack Kerouac.

The publications below are in alphabetical order by title.
